What will I learn?
This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. You will learn how to carry out activities relating to the care and support of ageing people. You will learn how to work autonomously, in a team, in addition to leadership skills to complete specialised tasks
What are the career opportunities?
There are a vast range of employment opportunities and careers in the health and administration fields. Some job titles include:
- Aged care support worker
- Aged care work leader
- Aged care work co-ordinator
- Aged care client services co-ordinator

Is there any work placement?
At least 120 hours of work placement is expected to complete your training. Adept Training will coordinate work placements for students wherever possible; candidates are encouraged to find their own placement. Please note that Police checks are required for undergoing placement. We have paired up with some of the best in the business to provide you with clinical work experience.
Is the course face to face or distance?
BOTH! Our courses are delivered through flexible, blended learning. Under the supervision and mentoring of your trainer you will be required to attend face to face classes and also complete some units at your own pace.
This course requires you to have a good understanding of written, verbal and spoken English and maths (knows as language, literacy and numeracy 'LLN'). All students who enrol in a course are required to undertake Adept Training's LLN assessment.
