Where is Adept Training located?
Adept Training is located at 83 Marion Street, Harris Park, NSW 2150
Harris Park train station is 3 minutes walk from the college
Parramatta train station is 10 minutes walk from the college
Parking is available on the surrounding streets
Are your courses funded by the Government?
We have a limited amount of Smart & Skilled funding, provided by the NSW Government for the following courses:
- HLT37215 Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- HLT37415 Certificate III in Pathology Assistance
- HLT37315 Certificate III in Health Administration
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
In order to access this funding you must:
- be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or a New Zealand citizen
- be 15 year or older
- live or work in NSW
- no longer be at school

What are the entry requirements for your courses?
All students are required to a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment at enrolment.
Some courses require you to have blood collection skills or previous experience.
Entry requirements are listed at the bottom of each course page.
Can I study your courses online?
Most of our courses are delivered through a combination of face to face and online training due to the interactive hands on, practical skills that are required in healthcare.
However some courses can be delivered and assessed through online study with Zoom/Teams practical observation assessments.
How much time will I need to study each week?
This differs from course to course and student to student. We suggest on average 15-20 hours per week.
Can I take longer to complete a course?
We allow students up to 3 months after their last scheduled training session to complete all course requirements (assessments and mandatory work placement). After this time you will need to apply for an extension.
What if I need to miss a day of class?
If you are absent from class please contact 1300 366 044 and provide a medical certificate. The maximum number of classes that may be missed is 3. After the third occasion, it is at the discretion of the college to either move you to another course or cancel your enrolment.
Are your courses nationally recognised?
Adept Training offers accredited courses which are nationally recognised, as well as non-accredited short courses.
Nationally recognised courses always have a course code followed by a name such as HLT37215 Certificate III in Pathology Collection

Are there any extra costs involved with the courses?
No, all materials, resources and equipment are included in the course fee.
What is a USI? Do I need to have one?
From January 2015, the Federal Government developed a system called the USI (Unique Student Identifier), to help Australian students gain access to their results when they complete a nationally recognised course, or part thereof. The USI is generated online, does not cost anything and will be recorded whenever you enrol in a nationally recognised VET course.
