Policy Statement:
Adept Training’s finance policies have been developed and managed in accordance with standard accounting and financial management principles. These principles serve the purpose of ensuring Adept Training is always in the position to provide students with the training and assessment services that they pay for, and that the fees paid by students are protected. Adept Training is also committed to a fair refund policy and ensures that all students are informed of their obligations for student fees at enrolment.
Payment requirements
- Fees in advance Adept Training accepts no more than $1500 from each individual student prior to the commencement of the course. Following course commencement, Adept Training requires full payment of fees.
- Fees (as noted above) for training and assessment activities are due for payment on commencement of course.
- Upon receiving the programme fee students are provided with a receipt, duly dated and authorised.
- A tax invoice is provided as required.
- Record of fees received is maintained in the receipt’s register.
Refunds
- All refunds attract a $450 administration fee.
- Participants seeking a refund are required to complete the Refund Request Form available on the website adepttraining.com.au. The form may also be accessed by contacting the Student Liaison Officer at admin@adepttraining.com.au or by calling the office on 1300 366 044.
- A full refund (minus the $450 administration fee) will be given if an enrolment is cancelled two weeks or more before starting the training/assessment activity or event.
- A 50% refund (minus the $450 administration fee) will be given (minus a $450 administration fee) if you cancel at least 7 days prior to or within 10 business days of the course commencement date.
- No refund will be if you fail to complete all training and assessments within 3 months of the final scheduled training session.
- Students selecting to enrol in our blended learning courses (a combination of online learning and face-to-face classes) are deemed to have started their course when they log into the learning management system and commence the first learning commencement activity or Student Guide, whichever is applicable.
- Adept Training does not engage in unsolicited marketing, if we do, the statutory cooling off period will apply. For more information refer to Department of Fair Trading: Unsolicited consumer agreements.
- Participants who are unable to attend or complete the course they have enrolled into may transfer to another course of equal or greater value and pay the difference. In some circumstances Adept Training may agree to a refund for a cancellation; however, the administration fee of $450 will be charged.
- Adept Training reserves the right to cancel a course if minimum numbers are not met or due to any other unforeseen circumstances. If Adept Training cancels a course participants will be offered a place in a future course or a full refund.
First Aid course terms and conditions
- If a First Aid course is offered to Adept Training students at a discounted price, the fee must be fully paid prior to the commencement of the course and is non-refundable.
- Bookings are essential and we strongly recommend students book at least two weeks prior to course commencing to enable pre-course learning to be completed.
- Failure to attend a First Aid course will result in fees being forfeited. You will be required to pay again if you wish to attend another First Aid course. If you are unable to attend the course you have enrolled into you may send someone in your place.
- Adept Training reserves the right to cancel any course. A full refund will be offered for any First Aid course cancelled by Adept Training.
External review
External review of the financial management practices takes place on a regular basis to ensure that proper systems are maintained.
